What is The Ask Anything Tour?
The Ask Anything Tour was born out of a segment of Dr. Albert Mohler's daily podcast and radio program where listeners can call in with their questions and ask anything that's on their mind. Dr. Mohler would devote an entire episode to thoughtfully engaging these questions and provide a biblically based answer.
The tour launched in 2018 to create a mobile event on strategic campuses across the country where students are able to gather together and ask important questions about faith, religion, and the Bible. While the questions are not limited to these topics, these are the most common questions asked.
The event begins with a brief presentation from Albert Mohler, followed by an open mic for questions and answers.
Albert Mohler has appeared on NBC’s “TODAY” show, CNN’s “Larry King Live”, and ABC’s “Good Morning America.” He is a columnist and commentator who has been quoted in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and The Washington Post. Albert Mohler serves as the president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY and has authored numerous books.
Where have we hosted The Ask Anything Tour?
We have hosted The Ask Anything Tour at The University of Louisville, UCLA, USC, and Western Kentucky University - with plans to expand the tour in 2022. While COVID-19 paused tour plans, we are working to relaunch the tour with an expanded reach across the country.
What is expected of a host?
These events are made possible through our partnerships with the individual campus ministries at each college and university. Our goal with the event is to provide an opportunity for campus ministries to be highlighted and to build connections with students after the event concludes.
Our expectations for a campus ministry is two-fold:
Boots on the Ground - Helping promote the event and getting people excited to attend.
Coordination - Helping us coordinate any details with the campus for securing space to host the event.
There is no financial investment required from you and your campus group. Southern Seminary will cover the expenses related to renting space, equipment, etc.
Success
It's hard to put a number on the success of this event. Our hope is to get a minimum of 500 people to attend the event.
